2018 Annual Tax and Compliance Luncheon Seminar – Sacramento

The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act was approved by the House of Representatives and the Senate on December 20, 2017, and President Trump signed the bill into law December 22, 2017.

The Act is the largest overhaul of the Internal Revenue Code in over 30 years, affecting every taxpayer and business type, including charitable religious organizations.

Individual changes include; reductions in tax rates, the elimination or reduction of many deductions, exclusions, and credits, and the enhancement of other deductions and credits. Nonprofits have new reporting requirements on income derived from unrelated business activities and are likely to see changes in a number of areas of operation due to changing donor habits and employee participation preferences in sponsored health care plans and other employer provided benefits.

Along with covering all the new tax regulations applicable to you and your ministry, we’ll also provide you with the latest updates and modifications to existing regulations that you’ll need to be aware of in such areas as ministerial housing allowances (currently being litigated in the courts), payroll and tax withholding and other reporting and compliance changes.
